LAG GLV-S1000-SF review
Here is the first review! I am happy and honored!
I never really choose guitars, guitars choose me. It had happened with all the instruments I have. And it happened again when I least expected it, when I was back in Moscow, working on the new album tracks, and far from a “purchasing mode”.
I had been looking for a 7-string guitar for a while, but for some reason non of the instruments I happened to check had all the features I needed: either the wood / sound character was not the one I wanted, or a fixed bridge instead of Floyd Rose, or 22-24 frets only and so on. Of course, there is always an option of ordering a Custom instrument, but it only makes sense when you exactly know all the specs you want – that wasn’t my case, I was still on the experimenting stage.
And suddenly I see a guitar that has it all. In fact, it was more like a gut feeling, an instinct, even before I picked it to have a closer look. Beautiful design and right features have come together as if by magic. Mahogany body with flame maple top, very comfortable neck (maple with ebony fingerboard), reversed headstock, 7 strings (10-46+60), 27 frets (18-27 – scalloped), Floyd Rose, two humbuckers with coil splitting push-switch.
